Busy Guy
There are 16 new press releases from Doc in the past week. They all have to do with federal money being spent on behalf of the 4th CD.
Hastings and the DeLay Rule
Doc has chosen not to make public his voice vote on the DeLay Rule. He intends to inform his constituents about his decision in a letter to them. The DeLay Rule vote rescinded a House rule that required any committee chairman who was under indictment to step down from his chairmanships. Tom DeLay of Texas is threatened with an indictment by a grand jury over corporate campaign contributions.

Campaign 2004 Debates
Attended the Forum tonight. Doc is running on his record. Sandy on her resume. I'm not much impressed by either.

House Ethics
It appears that Doc may have at least taken some action on the DeLay cases. It would be interesting to know whether he was at all interested in calling DeLay to account or in minimizing the damage to DeLay. Nonetheless it looks like the multiple admonishments may be the best that could be obtained. We will have to leave the criminal charges up to the courts.

Introduction
I'm an active partisan blogger but I recognize all sides of issues need to be explored to come up with the best answers. I offer this as a place where that can happen. Before too long I hope to add other members to the blogging staff but I'm going to start out slow on that. In the meantime everyone can post in the comments section and I plan to have open threads regularly in which new subjects can be introduced. Happy Posting.
